Vahid Abbaszadeh is an Iranian contemporary figurative painter working primarily in oil on canvas, exploring portraiture and the emotional depth of the human experience. Since beginning his practice in 2006, his work has been exhibited in Iran and internationally, including in Istanbul, Tehran, and Canada, earning a Merit Prize in an international online art competition. His paintings are known for capturing the dignity and individuality of his subjects, rendered with a refined sense of realism and emotional sensitivity. Since 2016, he has also taught drawing and painting from his private studio in Mashhad, mentoring students of all ages while continuing to develop his own practice. He currently creates new works for exhibitions, private collections, and commissioned projects, expanding his contribution to contemporary figurative painting. Through both his artistic output and teaching, Abbaszadeh remains a dedicated presence in Iran’s contemporary art scene.
